I own nothing. Except sudden inspirations to write drabbles.

Monogamy wasn't Loki's thing. It was so against his nature, that even if he wished to commit to one person, he wouldn't be able to do it (not that he wanted to).

Lucy minded this, of course, it's never pleasant for a girl to know that you're not the "only one"for somebody you love. Nevertheless Loki was quite certain that someday she would come to understand and accept this aspect of his character, at least he hoped she would.

It's not like he and Lucy were an official couple anyway (that was the excuse Loki used to justify his behaviour). Of course there were a few kisses here and there and there was this one unforgettable time in the woods on a mission (which nobody is supposed to know about), but there never have exchanged any vows or promised to love each other forever and ever.

But there was something that was different about this relationship. Lucy was the only girl he was willing to spend a very long time with (despite the flirting, dating and occasionaly sleeping with other females). Not just because she was his master and he was bound to stay by her side, but because they shared a special bond. Lucy was the first human he wanted to protect, the first person who would risk her own life to save him and let him go back into the stellar spirit world.

Lucy was so special to him because she was not only a lover, but also a friend.

Now I'm going to get some sleep. Sleep is good.
