Yami and Jetta and Joey were walking to school together that morning. Joey was trying to be manly and strutting and Jetta just laughed at the comedy of it all. Yami laughed to himself. Joey was great, always there for a laugh. Jetta turned to attention to Yami.
"So Yami, have you told Anthy how you feel about her yet?"
Bing!
Yami blushed and looked at his feet.
"No...not really."
Jetta smiled.
"Why not? Are you too shy? Do you think that she'll reject you?"
Yami nodded. Jetta frowned and grabbed some of his tri-colored hair. Yami yelped in pain, walking awkwardly and currently at the mercy of Jetta's insane comedic mind.
"It'll be okay. You should tell her. She won't reject you. She may be a little slow at opening up but hey, that's how she is."
Jetta let go of Yami's hair and watched his head bounce like a spring for a moment. Now it was Joey's turn to laugh. Yami blushed and glared at Jetta, who smirked.
"Come on. Whadya wanna say?" Joey asked.
"Um...I um..."
"Nice...very nice."
"Shut up. I want to tell her that I love her and that I want to go out with her and..."
"YAMI! LOOK OUT!! IT'S A GIANT ONION!!" Jetta shouted.
Jetta and Joey jumped out of the way as a giant onion fell from the sky and none of them saw if it crushed the former pharaoh or not. Everyone crowded around to see if anyone got hurt. Jetta suddenly envisioned the newspaper "High school boy gets crushed by giant onion". But she and Joey found him sitting on the ground rubbing his head.
"Are you okay?" Jetta asked.
"I thought you were a pancake with onion toppings." Joey said, grinning.
"I thought I was too. But I jumped and then realized that because of my innate skinniness, I made it out in time."
CRACK!
Everyone looked at Yami's left leg. It was bent grossly out of place and looked really disgusting.
Yugi, Jetta, Kaylynn, Joey, Seto, Malik and Ryou were standing over Yami at the hospital. Yami's broken leg was in a cast and raised by a sling. Seto and Malik were laughing.
"That's not funny." Yami insisted.
"But it is!' Seto insisted, holding his side laughing.
"You were nearly crushed by a giant ONION!"
"Shut up."
Jetta began to say something and she waved her right hand at them. Everyone stopped. Jetta and Kaylynn were cousins, and they had the same life and death powers. It was actually pretty cool.
"I'm gonna go. Lots of stuff to do."
Everyone slowly dispersed. Yami fell asleep, not thinking about many ways to kill Seto and Malik. When he woke up, he saw Anthy sitting by the bed, reading a book. He blushed.
"Hello." She said.
"Um... hi?"
Anthy laughed to herself. And the two began to talk. But it grew late and Yami still hadn't told her how he felt yet. Once Anthy stood up to leave however...
"Wait!!"
"Something wrong Yami?"
"I...I..."
"Yami?"
"I love you Anthy!!!"
Yami didn't see her for weeks after that.
