D'Void smiled the minute his enemies appeared in the Null Void. He stood on a rock while he concentrated on Pierce with Helen and Manny.
He glanced at three Null Guardians. ''Prevent my enemies from arresting me for conquering the Null Void. Defeat them, my pets,'' D'Void said.
He heard the Null Guardians as they shrieked at the same time.
The creatures approached the armed trio. They snapped at them before their fangs were dodged. They screeched another time.
Helen used her tail to strike a Null Guardian. She frowned as the creature collapsed. The sudden scowl on D'Void's face didn't bother her.
Helen viewed Manny shooting at the other Null Guardians. Her eyes were on them while they fell. They remained on the Null Guardians' still forms.
D'Void turned his head. His eyes widened as soon as two baby Null Guardians appeared. ''Why are you out of my citadel? You're not safe here.''
The infants placed themselves in front of D'Void before they snarled at the latter's enemies.
''You're protecting me?'' D'Void muttered as he focused on the babies.
Glowering, Manny shot at D'Void and the infants. He observed the villain's eyes widening in horror. He gasped after D'Void embraced the babies and turned his back. Manny's multiple eyes were still on D'Void as the latter cried out.
D'Void collapsed on the rock before he closed his eyes. He eventually woke up and gasped. He found himself in a cell. The baby Null Guardians rested in his arms. D'Void's eyes remained wide. He saw Manny and Helen with Pierce.
''Are you forgetting about my good deed?'' D'Void asked.
''You protected the baby Null Guardians, but you conquered the Null Void earlier,'' Pierce said as he scowled.
The baby Null Guardians found themselves in a very unfamiliar area. They began to sob.
D'Void embraced the infants. ''Daddy is here,'' he said to them. He smiled after they rested in his arms again. *Another good deed.*
