She sat, alone, people running past her, lights flashing around her, people looked at her from behind a rail, every so often someone in the barrier would come and look at her, move their mouth, but nothing came out. She just stared at her hands, and the bear that was sat in them. The bear she had bought as a gift, meant to be light blue, stained red. She couldn't feel her hand holding the bear, she just saw that they did.
She felt herself being pulled, but she couldn't move her head, she just looked at the bear, she was pulled up, and sat on a stretcher. Lights flashed into her eyes. A mask put over her mouth and nose. Worried people giving her worried looks, as she sat staring ahead. She looked at the bear, then to her hands. Finally, she looked around, she saw people, lots of people, lots of noise.
But a group of people stood out, there was about 8 of them, they didn't make any noise, they were all hugging each other, crying, she could hear them, they're gentle sobs, above all the other noise, she could hear their sobs, she then saw the one who wasn't sobbing into any one, the purple haired one, she knew her. She took off the mask, not noticing the complaints of the worried people.
She walked across the gap and straight to the purple haired girl. She reached the cordon. And stood looking at her. "Eli?" she said "Eli?" she repeated, a new wave of tears rolling down her face as Eli stared blankly at her. That's my name, she thought, but, she doesn't call me that, whats happened, what's happening? Has something bad happened? She came back to her senses, and the noise washed over her, the sirens, the crying, the shouting.
She looked around, shocked at the site before her. She felt her hands to her face. Her cheeks were wet. She was in the cordon. As she's removed she hands, she saw they were caked in red. Nausea made her legs feel weak, and she fell into the crying nozomi who stood before her. Nozomi caught her into a hug, as she continued to cry, all the other members of mused crossed into the cordon, unhindered by the authorities, and surrounded Eli.
Eli looked round at them, confused, the she remembered something, something in her hands. She looked. The blue bear covered in blood. "No" she thought "NO". She looked round, saw a black, long back being moved into the back of an ambulance. "NOT HER" she screamed in her head. "No" she almost whispered, she pushed though muse, slowly getting her voice back. "No, NO NO NOO" she reached the ambulance, clawing at the bag. "NO, NOT HER, WHY HER?" Tears blurred her vision, and hands tried to pull her away as she tried to undo the zipper, she caught it and pulled the flap back, revealing the ashen face, of her younger sister.
"Arisa" her voice strained and high pitched, her throat tight and choked, tears pouring from her eyes. She stopped, the hands no longer grabbing. She looked at her hands, at the bear, she lifted her arm, placed the bear on the bag. She allowed the grief, and pain to take control, falling onto the ground, she curled up, tears flowing from her eyes, just repeating one thing again and again. Why her?
