Absolute darkness concealed Kuphulu as he obtained rubies in a jewelry store. *The rubies will be perfect for my statues* he thought.
He observed Crujo standing near the door. ''Do you see Scout?'' he asked.
Crujo opened the door. He glanced at other shops before he shook his head. He viewed Kuphulu carrying the rubies. Crujo departed with Kuphulu.
Scout appeared by one of Anur Transyl's shops. ''You are under arrest for stealing,'' he said to Kuphulu.
Crujo and Kuphulu's eyes became bigger. They ran before Scout followed them.
''Scout won't arrest me. I'm not stealing anything,'' Crujo said to Kuphulu.
''Guilt by association, Crujo,'' Kuphulu said.
Crujo and Kuphulu ran before they observed a girl standing near another jewelry shop. They paused. They began to exchange confused glances.
The villains concentrated on the girl.
''I am Viktoria,'' the girl said to Kuphulu and Crujo. Her eyes widened as she smiled at Crujo. ''Fluffy!'' she exclaimed.
Viktoria embraced Crujo before the latter struggled in her arms.
Kuphulu rolled his eyes.
Scout approached Viktoria and the villains. He ceased walking after Viktoria released Crujo. He tilted his head in confusion.
His eyes widened the minute Viktoria embraced him. Scout whimpered and struggled. He glanced at Crujo and Kuphulu.
''Scout is very cuddly, Viktoria,'' Crujo said. He and Kuphulu departed while Scout continued to struggle in Viktoria's arms.
