You might not believe in heaven
Tell that to the man who lives in hell
There were days when they just couldn't deal any more. They had both seen the very worst that the human character could bring and they both fought against this. It was and always would be a ongoing battle and after them many would still fight this battle. A battle for freedom, peace and justice. They both wanted the same yet had different ways of reaching this. One used force; the same force that they were trying to go up against though this was the only way to win it. The other patched the people up who did the fighting job yet he was equally important to the world. He was the one who had to make sure that the people healed and got better and this was just physical; mentally they needed him to and he did everything in his power to make the world a better place and to make sure of the live of the man and woman who give up so much to free others and fight for their country and there freedom. They lived in different era's yet the battle remained as it will for the many years to come. They never gave up no matter how hard it got they never gave up.
Toughened souls by the world around them.
This is something I came up with a while ago. I had the characters Jack O'Neill and Hawkeye Pierce in mind.
