Shey'll Always Be In You

Grace stared at the pond, looking at her reflection. Today is the anniversary of when she was taken from her mother when she was a young calf. She couldn't think of how much her real mother loved her, since she remembered that she was taken by her cruel owner a few days after she was born. She started to feel tears drip down her cheeks. She couldn't fight them, she just let her tears drop freely down.

Grace then started to walk into the den. She would always calm down when she was feeling like this. Soon, she walked quietly into the den. When she got into her stable, she flopped down on the pile of hay, brought her hooves to her chest, sank her head,
and sobbed. It didn't look like she was calming down. She sniffled and looked around.

Meanwhile, Maggie was entertaining the piglets, until she heard Grace sobbing. "I'll be right back," she said to the piglets. "I've got to go talk to Grace." Maggie walked into the den and sat next to Grace in her stable. "Grace, what's wrong today girl?" she asked. "I'm just sad about my mother." Grace said. She started sobbing again.

Maggie rubbed her on the back gently. "There, there, Grace, it's okay. I know how you feel. Why is it that you miss your mother?"
Grace stopped sobbing and looked at Maggie. "It's because today is the anniversary of when I got taken from her. She has loved me,
and I remember she would sing me a lulluby before I went to sleep, but now she can't, cause' she's not here."

Maggie was amazed about what she had just said. "I remember that too. When I was on the Dixon Ranch, the old home I grew up on,
I remembered how my mother used to sing me a lulluby before I went to sleep," she said to Grace. "I feel the same way you do since I lost the home I grew up on."

The yellow heifer then let out a smile. Maggie said, "Even though you've been taken from her, she'll always remain a part in you."
Grace became happy about what Maggie had said to her. "And also, if your cruel owner did reappear, we will take care of him just like we have taken care of Alameda Slim and his henchmen."

"Thanks, Maggie," said Grace. "I feel so much better now. I guess this day isn't feeling so bad now." She let out a smile. She started to hum that song her mother would sing to her as she walked out to enjoy the rest of the day.

The End
