Adeline stood in the corner of the room, as the King, and Queen ate there dinner. They had a little conversation, but for the most part they sat in silence. They seemed bored, the both of them. The Queen especially. She looked at her food, then husband, then over to Adeline. She gave her a smile, and Adeline curtsied a tad, a silly grin plastered across her face.

The King noticed none of this, but continued to eat in a vulgar manner. Gwendolyn could only imagine what he was thinking. She really had no idea what was going on in his head at all. But, for what his face showed, it was most likely something about himself and his excellence. And she was glad he kept his mouth closed. He was a pleasant man, but he had had much too much time given to him so he was inclined to think a little to well of his person. The Queen sighed and began to play with the food on her plate; hoping time would skip to the end of dinner.

Adeline kept a watch on the Queen all through out dinner, knowing how bored and tiresome she must feel in the company of a man who seems to think he owns her. And finally to Adeline's glee, the King put down his fork and announced he was going to bed. Even if the Queen was not finished eating, she had to stop when the King stopped, though Adeline was sure that The Queen did not mind. His Majesty rose from his set and began to make his way across the room to the door. He called over to her Highness asking her to join him. Adeline was tempted to rolled her eyes. But the Queen was more sensible. As she stood she replied

"I will join to in a few moments. I wish to take a walk around the gardens before bed." Gwen stared innocently at the King as he bowed and said absent-mindedly,

"Alright, Alright." Bowed curtly, and left the room. Leaving only Adeline and The Queen. Gwendolyn stepped elegantly over to Adeline.

"Your Highness." She praised as she curtsied. The Queen laughed lightly.

"It is just us. You may drop the formalities." She said in almost a whisper. Adeline stared into her eyes and pulled Gwen closer until they were nose to nose. One cue the Queen pressed both ruby lips onto her Lady-In-Waiting's pale pink ones. And something fluttered inside each of them. The joy of the unknown? The thrill of deception? Or the agonizing heartbreak of forbidden love.

A/N: Love me, Hate me! I do not care! Inspiration struck and I had to write it down. So many people have listed strage and unusual pairings, and this one has yet to come up. So, review please. I am gonna take a guess and say I am gonna get SO burnt for this story, but I have not written anything recently (Cursed writters block) and need something to keep people interested. REVIEW!
