At the end of the world, they stand side by side. They aren't quite touching, and are in complete silence. Lucy stares into the distance, at the world crumbling and burning around her, and James, he looks at her.
It's dark in Scotland. It's windy, and Lucy's hair whips around her face. She seems to be searching for something, even though everything is already gone. "I love you, you know," she says, and it sounds like a scream in the silence around them.
"I know," James whispers. "I just wish we could've had more time."
"We always were destined to fall."
