Disclaimer: I dont own Fairy Tail, or any of it's characters sadly:(
I wrote this around Christmas last year and forgot to post it, what do you think?
Constructive criticisms are welcome:)
This was not how she pictured Christmas.
When she was a little girl, before her mother passed away, a humongous Christmas tree would stand in the middle of the living room.
It would stand , taller than her and her parents combined, tall and green, majestic and graceful.
The tree would be adorned with sparkling, diamond-like , rainbow- coloured glass orbs and around the tree would be lines and lines of glowing lights.
Hundreds of people would be present for the Heartfillia's annual Christmas party, and they would be wearing the most beautiful gowns Lucy had ever seen.
But instead of a tree, a teenage boy stood in the middle of her living room, looking humorous covered in glitter and plastic ornaments, a plastic Santa Claus figurine covering his eye.
The green tinsel wrapped around his head contrasted with his pink hair and the plastic star he had glued to the tinsel was on the verge of falling off.
But his seriousness at the matter made it all the more laughable.
And instead of hundreds of finely-dressed gentlemen and ladies, a half-naked raven-haired boy stood in front of her, trying to distract Natsu from his mission to 'become a Christmas tree', with a scarlet-haired girl , clad in armour, scolding him for it.
And darting around the room was a flying blue cat, ribbons and glitter in hand, trying to decorate the room but only succeeding in making a huge mess.
Lucy covered her mouth with her hand, trying to stop the fit of giggles threatening to burst out.
Through the mess and the chaos, she realised one thing.
It wasn't the Christmas she was used to, but it was the one she had grown to love.
