Author's note: Yay! First story! Please read and review. Oh yeah, it's really pro Ino and Anti Sakura. So, um, enjoy!
"Please Sakura! I'm begging you!" Naruto cried.
Sakura sighed, staring at Sasuke from the corner of her eye. Maybe if he saw her rejecting Naruto he'd think she was cool.
"Just one date!" Naruto asked desperately.
Sakura rolled her eyes. Why wasn't Sasuke even looking over? Did he not notice her glossy new blowout? Her hair was flawless! She got up at 5 am to do her makeup and paint her nails royal blue. She was even wearing a new outfit.. Maybe if she-
Naruto grabbed her hands. "Sa-"
She threw his arms off, disgusted.
"Please?' He begged.
The sight of his oily hair and wrinkled clothes annoyed her so much.
Maybe if Naruto wasn't always hanging all over her, she could get some alone time with Sasuke.
She slapped him on the cheek. He stared at her with wounded eyes.
Then it hit her. A flowery smell invaded her nose.
"Hey Sakura!" Ino smiled, walking up to her.
"Ino pig." Sakura mumbled. She hated the way Ino walked. She walked with confidence, like a girl who didn't have to try hard to get attention.
"Hi Naruto. Sasuke." She smiled brightly.
Sasuke simply nodded.
Naruto waved. "Hi Ino."
"Still haven't scored a date with her, have you?" Ino asked knowingly.
Naruto shook his head. "She even slapped me!"
Ino turned to Sakura with shock. "Sakura! That's awful!"
Sakura felt a wave of guilt washing over her.
She folded her arms and pursed her lips tightly, refusing to even speak.
Naruto grabbed Ino's hands. "Ino! Why is your hand covered with scratches and bruises?"
She laughed lightly. "My team has been training non stop since five am. It was exhausting and took up most of the morning."
She raised her eyebrows at Sakura's freshly done manicure, makeup, and hair.
Sakura's faced burned. So she spent her morning giving herself a makeover instead of training. So what?
But compared to Ino, she didn't look hot or sexy. She just looked silly and overdressed. But if she skipped her morning beauty remedies, she'd look
plain and boring. Ino, however, was a different story. She wasn't wearing makeup. She brightened everything up by just being there.
Naruto and Ino snickered at her curled hair and full makeup.
Great. Now her ex best friend and her stalker "boyfriend" were teaming up against her. And what was up with Naruto?
A second ago he was fawning over her, but now he was sucking up to Ino?
Ino put her hands on her hips. "Skip the beauty treatments ad try practicing your justsu, Forhead."
Sakura's mouth dropped open.
Sakura clenched her teeth. "So what if all the teachers loved and praised her? So what if she was one of the top graduates of the Academy? So what if she was strong and had her own jutsu and knew everything about herbs? So what if she was intelligent? And beautiful? Who cared if everyone loved Ino? Who cared if she was just Ino's shadow?
"...so why would you want to waste your time with Forehead hear? She hates you and is obsessed with Sasuke. Broaden your horizons." Ino told Naruto.
Naruto smiled. "Woah, seriously?"
"Yep. I can totally set you up with Hinata."
"Awesome!" Naruto yelled.
Sakura felt her heart sinking. Ino had stolen her spotlight. Again. Ugh, why did people like her?
Sakura watched Ino throw back her head and laughed at Naruto's joke. Sasuke was definitely staring at her, his eyes softening.
Sakura remembered all those times Ino protected her and defended her. Truthfully, Ino was beautiful and strong. She had a way to make you smile, and brighten things up by just being there.
And it was inspirational.
