Chapter 1:

Chaos Begins

Sonic the Hedgehog was walking down a road in the city. It was night time, and the stars were beautiful. He sat down to gaze at the stars. He took a big, relaxing breath.

"I love this time of night." Sonic said to himself. "The stars are so bright. It's like seeing a miracle."

He stood up and saw a shooting star. He made a wish.

"I wish that I get to see my friends from home again!"

Sonic had not seen his friends for almost two years now. Suddenly, the stars disappeared! It was like a million miracles disappearing for Sonic. Sonic looked closely, feeling like he was going to cry. A dark figure chuckled.

"That must have scared you." the figure stepped forward and revealed himself. "Faker!"

"Shadow!" Sonic yelled. "What are you doing here?!"

"Causing chaos, of course." Shadow the Hedgehog smirked.

"Why? What did we do to you?!" Sonic stared angrily at Shadow.

"Everything!" Shadow stared back at Sonic. "I was told lies and tortured for nothing! I was asleep for 50 years because of the humans! And then I lost all of my memory. And most importantly, they killed Maria!"

"Who is this Maria you keep talking about?" Sonic asked.

"My only friend for years." Shadow answered. "Nobody but her respected me!"

"But most of the people that did this to you are dead!" Sonic blurted out. "Why unleash your rage on the new generation?!"

"Because, they will not have their children survive, so they'd lose they most precious people!" Shadow yelled. Then he got angry. "Like I did!"

He jumped. He floated in the air for a few seconds. Then, he snapped, and what looked like a beam of electricity went towards Sonic. Sonic wasn't fast enough to dodge it, so he was hit. He froze in his position.

"What?! I'm paralyzed!" Sonic said trying to figure out what happened.

"Now you can't stop me!" Shadow charged towards Sonic. "Chaos Blast!"

Shadow's fur became completely red and was glowing. He chuckled sinisterly. Shadow punched Sonic as hard as he could. Sonic was no longer paralyzed because the punched moved Sonic.

"Nice move…" Sonic whipped the blood off his mouth. "But I've got a better one!"

Sonic began running towards Shadow.

"But it won't work…" Shadow took out a Chaos Emerald. "Chaos Control!"

"Oh, no!" Sonic screamed right before Shadow's Chaos Control activated.

Everything but Shadow froze.

"Now I can get you out of my way…" Shadow smirked. "And everything else, too!"
