I'm alive, I'm alive
I can feel you all around me
Thickening the air I'm breathing
Holding on to what I'm feeling
Savoring this heart that's healing
All Around Me; Flyleaf
Here, he was just another blond in a crowd of fake smiles and broken lives. A nobody, if you will – a little fish in a big pond. He had always preferred it that way, and he never questioned why. It was just another fact of life. School will be school, the boring desolate hellhole that it has always been. Another day, just another boring day.
All too soon that winter morning his heart skipped a beat and he clutched at his chest through his sweatshirt – choking and coughing because of the unusual pain and feelings coursing through his body. His vision blurred, people around him becoming mush and abstract colors in an instant. It was like his head turned on it's own through the courtyard, eyes finally trying focusing on someone a good distance away. The silhouette didn't look like anymore he knew. It was tall and lanky, awkward looking. Foreign. The person's head moved toward him then, like a puppet on strings, moving on it's own accord. They were like magnets, gravitating towards each other with out a second thought.
"He made me feel like, I had a heart.."
As the figure grew sharper, flashes of a live he never knew, and yet, seemed all to familiar flashed through his head.
"No one will miss me."
"That's not true! I would.."
He could see the person clearly now, and he desperately needed a name to match the face.
"We'll meet again, in the next life…"
And then blue eyes met green.
And Roxas met Axel.
