Season 1

Pilot – The Way Things Were

Two hookers are found shot to death hanging from the I-70 Bridge over the Mississippi River. Sam's Warehouse in Overland Park is torched, and a drug bust in Leewood goes wrong. In all LT. Lennie Anderson thinks none of these are connected, until Det. Jack Harrison digs into the Cold Cases and comes up with Kansas City's most well know crime family. Detective Keith Campbell transfers in from Cleveland Homicide.

Changing of the Guard.

The Milano family tries to put the screws to Judge Pat MacEvoy to stop the drug case from coming to trial. Giararddo Milano is brought into the box by Harrison, but asks for a lawyer before saying anything. Campbell gets set up with the arson at Sam's. Lt. Anderson is shot at when driving to a little league game.

Guns to You!

While at Sam's Keith discovers that a shipment of guns was earmarked for the Milano family, but the CSU tech's can't pull any prints off of the packages. Harrison, tries to sweat out a confession from a pimp who knew the hookers. Anderson files a request with 1pp to have more patrol cars out.

The Bombshell

Captain Marion Vilma shows up at Homicide looking for Anderson about his request. Harrison is assigned Keith as a partner. Det. Matt Merkson buys a building next to the Milano compound to bust the family once and for all. Judge MacEvoy is found shot in his car on Holmes St. A uniformed cop makes a discovery about the Milano family that could turn the tables.

Details

Officer Jim Lertiz, follows the chain of command up to Lt. Anderson's squad with the bombshell about the Milano's. Keith and Harrison fight over who should close the Sam's Warehouse arson. Harrison caught the arson, but Keith was assigned to it.

The Set Up

Det. Merkson closes the case on the MacEvoy case, however can't find a tie to the Milano family. Mike Milano (Family Boss) is pulled over for speeding, and is booked on DUI charges. A new DA of Johnson County is elected on his platform of cleaning up MOB bosses. Keith meets Kristin Tennison.

Set up 2

Milano is brought before the finger print tech. His fingerprints tie him to 7 murders and six rapes over the past 10 years. Keith, Jack, and Lt. Anderson sit in as Captain Vilma integrates Milano. District Attorney Joe Glass meets with Vice. A new head of the Milano family is anointed.

Season Finale – Becoming of an Angel

Mike is brought to trial but when he is transported to county jail, a mysterious masked woman shoots him in the neck and stomach. Keith and Jack go to Velvet Dog to celebrate the crumbling of the Milano Empire (or so they think). Anderson and Vilma receive accommodations for their work. DA Glass is shown buying drugs from someone.

Season 2Three Years Later

We have moved into the future in this season. After the Milano Empire fell, the remnants of the family took their grief out on the cops. Jack is murdered in a movie theatre by a guy named John Lafferty, who shares the name of a well-known actor. Keith spends the next three years looking for the killer, after getting a tip from a drug dealer he collars for a murder.. Keith's parents move to Leewood.

Miami Dreaming (Cross over to CSI Miami)

Keith ends up in bed with Natalia Boa Vista while looking for John Lafferty. Horatio and Det. Trip find Lafferty, but they find the actor not the killer. Back in KC, the Milano empire tries to rebuild again, this time putting a mole in the KCPD Homicide department. DA Glass gets married. At the end, Keith shoots the real John Laferty after Natalia is taking hostage.
