Draco and Hermione stood shouting each other down loudly in the entrance hall.

"What did you think you were DOING? Didn't you know that I…"

"I'm sorry! Yeesh woman, I was only trying to…"

Ron, Harry, and Ginny were sitting on the first floor staircase, watching the scene unfold before them. Well, actually, Ron and Harry were watching while Ginny sat there painting her nails. The two boys were making bets on the spectacle when Professor McGonagall walked down the stairs towards them.

"Ten galleons that they'll end in ten minutes and then go find a nice little corner to…" Harry then kicked the idea of his best friend and his ex-enemy together out of his mind.

"Ten galleons that they won't. You know how long Hermione can keep a grudge, right Harry? I mean…" Ron never finished his thought, because Professor McGonagall stopped right in front of them at that moment.

"Good morning Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, Miss Weasley. Isn't it a little too early for Mr. Malfoy and Miss Granger to already be fighting?"

"Oh, no, Professor," Ginny replied absentmindedly, as she swiped the little brush over her nail, leaving a thin gold line. "You see, this morning, Hermione woke up to a room filled with daisies, but Draco apparently didn't know that she was mildly allergic to them. So, after she screamed like a mad woman, evanesco-ed everything, and then healed her rashes, she ran around trying to find him to "kill him", or so she says…" Ginny trailed off for a moment, and then asked, "Are my nails pretty?" while holding them up for inspection.

"Lovely, dear," Professor McGonagall replied with a shake of her head and an amused smile playing on her lips. She then continued down the staircase, passing the arguing couple with a "Good morning Mr. Malfoy, Ms. Granger."

They stopped for a moment to reply "Good morning, Professor," and as she walked off with a full blown grin on her face, they resumed their bickering.

"I didn't FREAKING, KNOW, OKAY?"

"You should know me better. How long have you been dating me now? Almost a year?"

Ginny, Harry, and Ron smirked as Hermione advanced on Draco. She raised a hand to slap him as Ron cheered her on under his breath, but then as it turned at the last second to caress his cheek, Harry held out his hand for his newly won ten galleons.

Down below, the couple smiled at each other behind the curtain of Hermione's hair. "Thanks for helping me indirectly get Ron back for that rude comment the other day, love," Draco whispered into her ear.

"Anytime sweetie…now, you do know that I seriously am allergic to daisies, right?"
