It was one of those days again…
"What are you waiting for? Hurry! Double time! Chop-chop!" Mom called out.
I didn't really feel like having lunch today, in fact- I think I had just eaten... Or maybe not.
Then again, I was too busy living in my own world to tell…
BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!
"Number five, can you hear me?"
A voice buzzed out of the almost obsolete walkie-talkie as I hid behind a bush, hoping that my size would conceal me.
"Number five..?"
The voice called out, I couldn't get to it right now- the goal was to remain hidden. I could hear the signal was worsening as moments passed, the radio producing more crackles, snaps and pops.
"NUMBER FI-"
The voice suddenly disappeared. Either the reception was bad, or we were in big trouble.
The prospect of Occam's razor suddenly popped up- "entities must not be multiplied beyond necessity; therefore the best solution would be the simplest one."
With that in mind, it could only mean that-
The enemies were near…
If no one took any action, we'd all be toast before teatime.
