A/N: Wow, this is super short but I didn't want to over do it, if you know what I mean anyway, I hope you all enjoy it!

Calleigh stood at the crime scene. She held the halogen light. It emitted it's purple glow. She loved the light, it had helped her solve many cases. But it meant so much more to her than that.
"Alright, which one of you stole my crime light?"
"Uh, stole is, is, very negative. I, I had borrowed and uh, I re… I re… placed it, I put it back."
She sighed and stood up. She dusted herself off.
"Well, it would be nice if you charged it first, I was at the scene and it flat lined."
"Sounds like she's mad at you man."
Calleigh remembered that day very clearly, she wondered what she would have done or said differently had she known it was Speed's last day. She might have hugged him, or told him how much he meant to her.
"Calleigh I sincerely apologize"
"Apology accepted. Give me yours."
"It's in my kit."
She picked up the halogen light, and looked at the initials on it: "T.S." they said. She missed him, it was true. But for some reason, having his halogen light was like having him here with her. Every time a case was solved, she thanked Speed for helping her, even when he couldn't be here to do it himself. It reminded her that each case was like a story that she had to unravel herself, that if she messed up even a little bit, it could mean the death for someone close to her.
The halogen light was something she would always use, even though she had her own. It was a memory, a testimony. It stood for everything she worked for. To solve almost impossible cases, to shed light on things that the normal eye didn't pick up, to put the person responsible behind bars, no matter what the cost. It stood for life, death, liberty, and truth.
Calleigh's eye caught sight of a hair. She plucked it up. Piece by piece she would solve the cases, piece by piece, she was put back together again. She knew Speed wouldn't come back, but at least she didn't have to forget. Maybe she did steal the halogen light from Tim, no borrowed it from him; but she smiled, she knew he wouldn't mind.
