Just a funny story about Renji's eye brows…
"Hey Rukia! Come see this!" Renji called. Rukia stepped out from behind a house and crouched beside him.
"What's that?" she asked. Renji studied the bottle.
"It's called 'Flambé sauce'," he replied.
"D'ya think we can cook with it?" Rukia asked.
"Well," Renji half shrugged and poured the whole bottle into the pot. "There's only one way to find out!" He placed the pot under the tipi of sticks and lit them on fire. They leaned forwards, staring into the pot as something moved behind Rukia. She squeaked and whirled around as a piece of burning wood fell off a stick and landed in the pot.
"Ruki- ARG!" A geyser of fire roared into the air, right where Renji's face was.
"Renji!" Rukia screamed.
"MY EYEBROWS!" Renji wailed. He wheeled back from the fire, hands covering his face.
"Oh Renji! Are you alright?" Rukia asked. She ran over and knelt beside him.
"MY EYEBROWS!" he wailed.
"Let me see," Rukia ordered gently. She carefully pried Renji's hands away from his eyes.
And almost bit off the tip of her tongue trying to control her laughter.
"I'LL NEVER COME OUT AGAIN! I'LL LIVE MY LIFE AS A HERMIT!" he wailed.
"It's not that bad," Rukia added gently, rubbing his back.
"IT IS!! THE AGONY! I'LL BE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE WHOLE WORLD!!"
"Renji…" Rukia whispered.
Years later…
"Hurry up in there will ya?" someone yelled, pounding on the door of the bathroom… At two o'clock in the morning…
'Shut up!" Renji yelled. He leaned over the counter, almost face-to-face with his reflection and gently dabbed a bit of permanent black ink onto where the arch of his left eyebrow should have been, replenishing the fading black of the tattoo.
"Renji!" the reaper wailed.
"Shut up! Do you want the whole division to hear you?" Renji snapped. The reaper fell silent. Renji carefully touched up the other fading marks that perfectly concealed his non-existant eyebrows and flushed the rest of the ink down the toilet.
"What took you so long?" the reaper asked.
"None of your business," Renji snapped, coming out of the bathroom. The reaper ran in and slammed the door behind him.
