"A Sleepover to remember"

It was a chilly summer night and I could feel the wind whispering through the woods as I approached a short girl in a sweater and a taller gruff girl in a sweater.

I waved to these girls and stuck out my tongue in a silly fashion, to which they responded in kind.

We met each other halfway and started giggling.

"Mable!, Grenda! Are you ready to part-y" I was quite excited for our sleepover, and also because I was going to be next to the boy I liked for an entire night. Well we'd be breathing the same air at least, and that was nice.

We made it to the Mystery Shack and I started to get butterflies 'maybe I can even talk to him' I thought to myself.

my palms were getting sweaty as I turned to Mable and asked her the question I was almost too embarrassed to ask.

"ummm... Mable?" she looked at me and smiled a goofy grin. Mabel was a great friend to have. Always so upbeat.

"yes, one of my people, speak!"

"i-is..Dipper going to be here?" I stuttered.

She spent a long time rubbing her chin and thinking on this.

"I..uh don't know" she seemed mad "all dipper cares about anymore is WENDY, he's too OLD to hang out with his SISTER"

My heart sank, even though it was obvious,I had hoped Dipper didn't care for Wendy. I knew the truth was he wasn't interested in my short young girlishness. He wanted a girl in high school.

"Don't worry about silly dipper!, he's jealous of our fun!" shouted an elated Mable "He'd just be ruining it anyway!"

Grenda chimed in "yeah! Who cares what real boys think when we have BOY BAND MAGAZINE!"

Quickly the topic of Dipper disappeared and we got to sharing magazines and our favorite actors and CD's. Then I heard a knock on the door.

"pshaw, it's probably Dipper crying like a baby" Mable shook her head and unlatched the door, She opened the door to a very disheveled albeit cute, Dipper. My heart skipped a beat.

"I just came to grab my book Mable-flower, I don't want any of your girl party, I have man's work!"

"like growing one more chest hair? Ha ha!" Mable and Grenda fell into a pile of laughter.

"yeah yeah I'm leaving" Dipper said sullenly as he opened the door. "Wait! Dipper! Where are your manners? Say hello and goodnight to my two best friends!"

Dipper hesitated and squinted his eyes. "Say it!" shouted Mable, jumping on her bed.

"Fine, have it your way, goodnight Grenda" Grenda chuckled. Then Dipper turned to me, and my face got so hot I was sure someone would see "Goodnight Candy" he muttered.

I'd never heard him say my name, or talk to me that often so I treasured it all the more." Ha ha, Dipper

did what I told him to!" Mable was always talking to Dipper like it was normal.

I wonder when the next time I can talk to him will be, maybe even tonight.

Dipper POV

I always hated being around Mable and her friends, it always reminded me of how alone I really was at the Mystery Shack. Sure me and my sister would have adventures all day...but I didn't have any of my own friends, you know..boys my age who were into the paranormal and weird books, heh.

So when Mable forced me to talk to her friends as some big joke, I got a little peeved. Not that I hate her girl friends...they are okay I guess. Well actually...to be quite honest her friend Candy is...cute even.

I get the feeling she was blushing but I didn't know if she was just bothered by my talking to her or..something else.

Welp.

On to my Night's work I grasped the lightly glowing book in my hands and made my way to the bottom floor of the mystery shack. It was eerie quiet and I could faintly hear the girls chuckling upstairs.

If I couldn't find a good friend in Gravity Falls then I would just have to Conjure one. I made my way

outside into the cold damp night and slowly closed the door behind me.

Hoping that no one would follow my trail.
