KISSES IN THE SUNSET

A smile made its way onto Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy's face as he realized who had sat down in the seat across from him at the library table in the corner of the room. He could practically feel her roll her eyes as he childishly didn't loom up from the book he was reading for his Muggle Studies homework.

He had picked the book randomly from a long list of romance novels and this one was interesting, luckily. It was much better than Romeo and Juliet or Much Ado About Nothing or Mansfield Park, which were on the list for their Muggle Classics assignment. The book was a romance novel, but one filled with a whole lot of drama and people who go mad when they're sick. He read for quite a long time without saying a word to the girl who was getting more exasperated by the minute.

She huffed as he began reading a certain quote out loud, '"If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger." That has a certain effect on you, doesn't it?' He muttered the last bit, just to annoy her a little more. She huffed again and waited for him to speak, but he didn't.

She sighed, 'You're so annoying, Malfoy! I've been sitting here for nearly a half hour and you seem to find Wuthering Bloody Heights more interesting than me!'

He smirked and finally looked up from his book, saying innocently, 'But, you never tried speaking to me so I figured you were just here for the peace silent company provides 'He knew that with the added exaggeratedly childish pout she would be his and, he was right. She was doubled over in silent laughter at the stupid expression he had just made and the other students were beginning to give her strange looks. He glared at her because she still hadn't stopped laughing. To be fair, it probably had been hilarious and everything seemed to be funnier when you were in a place like the library.

When she finally stopped, he gathered up his things and began moving towards the door, motioning for her to follow. She did, and they began walking towards the beech tree by the side of the lake. The sun was just beginning to set and the sky was filled with beautiful colors. She stopped to breathe in the spectacular view and remained that way for quite some time. Suddenly, she was grabbed from behind by a set of very familiar arms.

They held her close without feeling tight or uncomfortable and the moment was just perfect to them. 'You'll never get rid of me now, Weasley,' he murmured and she was quick to reply, 'Who said I wanted to, Malfoy?'

He loosened his grip just enough for her to spin around and kissed her slowly, sweetly and passionately all at the same time. When they pulled back, she buried her face into his chest as he held her closer than before and murmured into her hair, 'I love you, Rose Nymphadora Weasley' Her voice was slightly muffled as she said, 'I love you more, Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy' His reply made her smile into his chest, 'Trust me, Weasley, that is highly impossible'
