A/N Just a little Cinderella One-shot! I watched the film on Friday and I absolutely adored it, can't wait to see it again!

The meadows that surrounded Ella's home were a wide stretched canvas of imagination and curiosity to Ella. Her Mother and Father sat under the shade of the huge tree, their picnic laid out amongst them, yet untouched as they wished to wait for Ella before eating.

Ella, however, was preoccupied. She was lying in the thick grass, it stroked against her soft rosy cheeks as the gentle summer breeze began to make its way through the meadow. She stared in wonder and content at the beautiful creature in front of her, a Butterfly. It's delicate blue wings were outstretched as it lay upon a flower. The flower was almost camouflaged against the Butterfly as it wore almost the same colours.

"Hello." Ella whispered softly, smiling.

"Ella!" Her Father's voice could be heard throughout the meadow. She turned to see her Father's figure in the distance, waving and gesturing her to come over.

"Coming!" She called back, and as she turned around, the Butterfly was gone, leaving only the blue flower in its wake.

"Thank you." Ella smiled, looking up to the blue sky. She picked the flower and skipped along the grass back to her parents.

"Come along Ella, there's a good girl, we were going to have the picnic without you!" Her Father smiled as Ella approached.

"Mother! I found this flower for you!" Ella exclaimed in excitement, her arm outstretched ready to give her the flower as she ran towards her Mother.

"Isn't it lovely Mother." She gave her Mother the flower, who inhaled the sweet scent of it.

"Oh Ella, it's a lavender! My favourite flower!" She smiled sweetly as Ella giggled.

"And, do you know why?" Her Mother asked, beckoning Ella to join her by her side.

"Why Mother?" Ella asked curiously, sitting beside Her Mother.

"Because, when I was a little girl, my Mama used to sing a lullaby to me to help me get to sleep, would you like to hear it?"

Ella nodded her head enthusiastically.

"Lavender's blue, dilly dilly, Lavender's green, when you are King, dilly dilly, I shall be Queen." She sang, her voice soft and soothing as Ella rested her head upon her Mother's side and yawned silently.

"Who told you so, dilly dilly, who told you so? 'Twas my own heart, dilly dilly, that told me so." She looked down to see Ella in a peaceful slumber, curled up by her side.

"Well," Her Father sighed, smiling, "I guess she liked your lullaby, darling."

"Yes," Her Mother replied, smiling down at her Daughter and stroking her golden locks, "I guess she did."
