The figure moved unnoticed through the crowds, a hockey stick clenched in his hands and his pale face stained with dried tears.

"If no one's going to notice me... I'll make them..." he growled softly to himself, his violet gaze fixed on the blond head in front of him, "I'll make him notice me."

He followed the other man back to their house, still completely unnoticed as he followed him inside and up to the bedroom.

The man turned, sure there was someone there but he couldn't see anything, "Hello?" He called, confused.

"Stop it. Stop just looking through me!" The figure with the hockey stick suddenly swung violently for his head. "I'm here, America! Can't you see me!"

America cried out in pain at the impact and slumped down. He could see his assailant now. Canada's face was drawn into an angry snarl, bringing the hockey stick slashing down again before America had time to react or do anything. Pain exploded in his head and then all he knew was blackness.

"Oh where is he?" England sighed, "I bet he overslept again, damn it America you bloody git!" He frowned as he reached America's door which was still ajar from before. "America?" he pushed it open and went inside, "America, this isn't funny at all! We're late!"

He moved up the stairs and towards where he knew the master bedroom was, expecting the American personification to just be sleeping.

Grumbling to himself he pushed the door open; the sight in front of him made his blood run cold.

America was propped up against the far wall in a pool of his own blood. His skull had caved in slightly from blunt force trauma. He looked dead.

Tears welled in England's eyes, guilt flooding him. Then he looked up and saw the message. It had been daubed on the wall in America's blood.

"Happy Canada Day. He won't forget me again."

Author's Notes: Am I allowed to be scared by my own writing. I've never written a Snapped!Canada fic before and I don't think I want to again *hides*. Saying that it was quite fun to write though. Enjoy!

So yeah, Happy Canada Day, everyone!
