ACT 0 - Prologue
I would have stopped to admire the beauty of this hallway had leaving the castle not been at the top of my list right now. In fact, I pretty much have no choice but to leave, I'm being shot at from everywhere. Though it's a bit incorrect to say, "I'm," it's more like "we're." We're being shot at from everywhere, in this beautiful hallway, running from the royal army, and a select Knight of the Round. Why you might be asking? Well because we're the Freedom Fighters, and we just happened to infiltrate the King's castle and we just happened to get caught trying to find something important for my good friend from the fallen island, that just happened to be here. So right now we're in quite the predicament. And of course at this moment, near the end of the hallway, a magical field blocks our path.
"Well isn't this just great.." The hooded hedgehog beside me droned.
"No time to complain o'Hood, we got a Knight to fight." I smirked at him, using my momentum to spin around. The onslaught coming straight for us was certainly a formidable one. It wasn't long before we were pinned between this purple aura behind us and a legion of Grizzlies all ready to take us out. The one stand out though, was a man in blue robes, levitating slightly above the ground, his long bushy tail waving gently.
"Ah-ah…" He waved his finger at us, "You two don't just get to run out of here with no consequence." He snickered.
"Oh yeah?" My hooded friend asked in confidence.
"Quite, you can't just welcome yourselves in, then steal from us. Who raised you two?" He mockingly inquired. It was then that my friend threw himself to the side, quickly firing his bow right at the putrid wizard. The arrow cut through the air at a blinding speed, nothing in its path could slow it down and it was right on target. I darted out of the way as the Grizzlies opened fire on our position, tarnishing the fine carpet. A steady stream of bullets followed behind me as I ran up the wall, propelling myself from it, my red boot made contact with a Grizzly's jaw. At the same time my friend's arrow was on the verge of striking the wizard when it stopped mid air.
"Hahahaha!" He cackled, "You thought this would actually touch me?"
"No, but this will!" o'Hood exclaimed as a red light radiated from the arrow tip before it exploded in the wizard's face, dispelling the magical field. "Thanks Charles."
"Thank him later!" I yelled, grabbing him to get him out of the line of fire, "It's time to leave!" We fled the hallway towards a large window in the next room, crashing through it together to the outside. However, we were now plummeting to the ground and I was getting an earful from my hooded friend.
"Did somebody say, 'time to leave?'" A very familiar voice asked as we both hit something hard with a loud 'umph.' I opened to my eyes to see a blue hedgehog with a mustache and bushy eyebrows, my brother.
"Charlie! Saving the day with your cool new plane. Get us I out of here!" I cheered as both myself and o'Hood held onto the wings.
"With pleasure!" He smiled, blasting off into the night sky.
