The day seemed to be dragging on forever, even though it was only 10:36 a.m. Edward was out playing football with his brothers while I was in Alice's room using some of her blue nail polish. I would have happily watched Edward play football but Alice whined that we never got to be together anymore. She wasn't even with me most of the time. She mainly made sure I was comfortable.
Then I heard him say from behind me, "Bella, truly, I am so sorry you had to be here all day by yourself." Apparently Edward had realized I hadn't spent most of my time at the Cullen's mansion without my one best friend, or my boyfriend.
"C'mon, let's go do something." Edward said simply. He helped me off of Alice's spotless bedroom floor and led me hand in hand to his Volvo.
We didn't go anywhere special, we just... drove. It felt like a long time since Edward and I got to be just a normal couple, well as normal as we could get. We rocked out to old eighties songs and made random comments about the scenery around us. I noticed Edward even slowed down to a comfortable 50 mph instead of driving over 100 mph.
After a long silence between the two of us, Edward turned off the radio and asked his ever so frequent question.
"Please tell me what you're thinking, I miss hearing your voice." He said in a soft intoxicating murmur.
I contemplated what I was thinking. Two years ago my distaste for Forks was overwhelming, But now I had Edward who made everything about this place that much more...enjoyable. Is that why I was enjoying our simple drive so much?
" I guess I am just thinking how happy I am with you, and how you are the reason why this state has great beauty, I think that's why your love is nothing compared to anything else." I stated.
I realized then, that I just had a epiphany, and didn't even realize it! It wasn't a big deal, but I knew then that Edward and I had to be forever inseparable until the day we both died.
And all it took was a simply drive with my one and only.
