Jack P.O.V
Time: Unknown
Place: Rift
Objective: Assassinate King Teothan
Team: Captain (Yourself) Vice Captains (Clancy, Kim) Techies (Reignite, Sandler, Chaplain, Milton) Weapons Specialists (Rescore, Encore, Rapture, Jerry, Eddie) Troops: (Rupture, Reno, Cement, Grain, Speck, Rudy)
"These were the last of the 23rd Assassins. A specialist group that consisted of 53 highly trained spies. Now there are only 18 left."
"It will NOT happen again, sir." Jack replied, kneeling. This meeting had not gone that well so far.
"It better not. This tyrant has ruled the citizens of Rift long enough, time to 'end' him."
"Yes, sire."
-This meeting had brought painful memories from the legendary Battle of Cryo, where Jack had led his team into battle. In the first encounter no-body had died, except for some arrows that had implanted themselves into the enemies' bodies – these had been mere Vanamere scouts. Equipped with short-bows and throwing knives, these scouts usually travelled in pairs. He remembered ordering Retain to destroy the bodies. Retain had acted accordingly, casting a Flame spell. Magic exists here, in Sythem, although few can use it. After having disposed of the evidence they carried on, onto the Redmur Tower where the devastating general Count Estronge guided his armies' attacks. When they warily entered, they faced two Juan Guards. However, they were quickly disposed of with a few, efficient shots from Jack's longbow. Then the team suddenly heard frenzied, agonized rasps coming from the spiral staircase. On instinct, the 23rd Assassins league sprinted behind the diamond encrusted furniture, hoping to catch the enemy by surprise. Then it all went awry. It got messy…. And you don't wanna know what happened. Let's just say that Estronge's vanguard are really skilled, especially the count himself. He's like a walkin' tonthe (a huge, white, gorilla shaped, carnivore…that's MAD. M-A-D I tell ya).So the siege of Redmur Tower has a failure, and to make matters worse, the Count realized his safety breach was unacceptable and retreated to the darker sides of Rift. Thus, the battle of Cryo was won…barely. -
