It was dark. So dark, it was scary. But it was also calming. I hate it. It was two things in one. Life is just like that. Unfair, but just. Hated, but loved. Why was it that she loved him, but always got mad when he aggravated her over the tiniest things?

Normal P.O.V.

"Hey Ulrich wanna go for a walk in the park?" Yumi asked the brunette boy.

"Uh, sure." He replied.He got up and the two walked to the park.

After about 5 minutes of walking in silence, Yumi broke it.

"Um, uh, Ulrich?" She said.

"Yes Yumi?" Ulrich said noting the nervouseness in her voice.

"A - about what I said at the beginng of the year, i've been meaning to talk to you about that."

"Yeah me, too."

"You first Ulrich."

" I was wondering two things."

Yumi nodded, indicating he should go on.

" First, why did you say that?" The teens had both stopped wasking now and were facing eachother.Since Yumi was looking at her feet, she senced instead of saw Ulrich's steady, unwevering gaze.

"I - i needed time to put my life back together and think and-" she stopped. Go ahead say it ...

"And I wanted to protect myself." She finished.

"From what?" The German boy asked, gently urging her on.

"From pain."

That's when it hit him. She just didn't want to get hurt... A smile escaped his lips as a flash of courage surged through him.

"Oh. Well my second question is: are you willing to give me a second chance?"

The question was unexpected.Yumi jerked her head up from examing the dirt path to stare in suprise at the boy before her. She recovered slowly and smiled softly.

"Yes."she whispered, staring into emerald green eyes.

"So you wouldn't mind if I do this..." Ulrich said, taking a step toward her.

The unexpected move caught her off gaurd so she took a sharp intake of breathe and blushed darkly at how close he was. Slipping his hand around her waste, Ulrich pulled her even closer. She could feel his well muscled chest and cool skin. Suddenly, his lips crshed upon hers making Yumi close her eyes to savore his oh - so - sweet taste. Ulrich wrapped his other arm around her waste oulling as close as possible. The japenese girl slithered her arms around his neck, signiling she wanted to deeped the kiss. The soccer king was more than happy to oblge. Prying her mouth open with his tounge, Ulrich proceeded to play with hers and explore her mouth. The pleasurable feeling within Yumi caused her to moan as she played the hair at the nape of his neck.

The two pulled apart for lack of air as slowly as possible, both not wanting the delicious moment to end. Curse the need to breathe... After they pulled apart, they slowlr opened thier eyes simutainiously. Deep brown hazel eyes stared into emerald ones that a burning passion to protect, hold, and love.Ulrich's emerald eyes stared into Yumi's brown ones seeing passion and love as well as hope.

The new couple smiled and leaned in to quiet thier forever burning desire for the other when a flash was seen and heard. The moment being lost, Yumi and Ulrich jumped apart blushing furiously.

''GUYS!" They seeing their three best friends hiding inthe bushes. Odd was holding a camera and all three were grinning evily. They started singing:

" YUMI AND ULRICH SITTING IN A TREE! K-I-S-S-I-N-G..."
