"Kendall!" I yelled as I saw him walk through the door. He looked up to see who was yelling his name. He instantly smiled when he saw it was me. It had been months since I had seen my best friend. We've been best friends since kindergarten. I rushed over to him; he dropped his bags and opened his arms to embrace me. It felt like it had been forever since I've had one of Kendall's amazing hugs, I could tell neither of us wanted to let go.

"I missed you." He whispered. He rested his head on top of mine; he was always picking on me because I was a good foot shorter than him. Once we realized everybody was staring, we decided it would be a good time to get out without anybody recognizing Kendall. He grabbed his bags and we headed to my car. Kendall laughed as we walked up to the car.

"You still have this piece of junk?" He laughed. "HEY!" I said defensively. "Little red has been good to me!" He looked at me and raised one of his eyebrows. If we didn't pick on each other we'd start to believe we hated each other. As we got in the car I had to giggle a little. "Who the heck was in you passenger seat last ? A midget ?" Kendall asked with his knees scrunched up to his chin. "Move the seat back, douche!" I said laughing so hard that I could barely breathe. I quickly grabbed my phone to snap a picture before he moved the seat. "DELETE THAT!" He demanded grabbing for my phone. "NO!" I screamed; trying to keep it away from him. "It's adorable!" I put the phone in my coat pocket as fast as I could.

I watched him as he put his seatbelt on; all I could think of was what my mother kept telling me the first couple days after he left. "Absence only makes the heart grow fonder." She'd tell me every time she knew I was missing my best friend. He looked up. "What are you looking at, dork ?" I shook my head breaking my gaze from him. "Nothing" I managed to mumble as I started the car. Kendall instantly grabbed for the CD case in the glove box. It was as if he hadn't been away at all. He laughed as he flipped through the pages of CDs, making fun of my taste in music. He got to the pages of the few Avenged Sevenfold CDs I had collected since he's been gone. "Really?" He said pulling the Nightmare cd out of its slot. He slid it into the CD player; he laughed as he noticed only the two back speakers worked. "Still haven't gotten those speakers fixed, huh?" I gave him my 'you really just said that' look. "What are you gonna pick on next?" I said jokingly. As I said that; my phone began to ring. Kendall grabbed it as soon as I could get it out of my pocket.

"HI MOM!" He said cheerfully; as I turned the radio down. He switched it to speaker phone so we both could talk to her. "KENDALL?" she squeaked. We couldn't help ourselves but to burst out laughing. "When did you get back?" She continued. "MOM!" I interrupted her, "We're on our way to the house, ask all the questions then." I already knew why she was calling me, she was always checking up on me. "Can't wait to see you!" Kendall said with excitement. The rest of the ride was quiet besides the radio.
