Novalee and Forney went on a lovely honeymoon to Monterey, California. Ernne and Lexie kept Americus while they were gone. When they got home from the vacation Americus had a broken arm from climbing a treet in Lexie's backyard.
"Americus baby why were you climbing the tree?" asked Novalee.
"There was a big red apple at the top Mommy." Americus explained.
"Americus we brong you some books about the ocean." Forney said as he opened the suitcase.
"Thank you Daddy." Americus said as she grabbed the books. She sat in the middle of the floor by the fire place and read her books.
Months passed quickly. Forney got a new libary built and he named it the Novalee Nation Oaklahoma Libary. Americus walked to the libary after school. Novalee drove to the libary afer 4 o'clock everyday because she became a teacher and all teahers had to stay to 4 o'clock to clean their classrooms.
One morning Novalee was not feeling well. "Forney can you call the school and tell them I'm not feeling well and to get a sub for my class?" aked Novalee.
"Ok and I'll call the doctor too." Forney said as he brushed Novalee's hair from in front of her face.
