The cameras flash,
Lighting up the air.
You wear the smile,
It's the only thing you can do.
The people look up to you.
They love you.
You do it for them
You wear the smile.
The fake smile,
So you do not let down
The people who need you,
The people that love you.
You bear the pain inside.
You try to move on,
But you come back to
The same place,
Over and over again.
You do it for them.
You do it for them alone.
But sometimes it is not enough.
You want to be free again,
You know you cannot though.
