Desmond Miles storms away from the Sanctuary, angry beyond belief. Lucy was being an irritable bitch again and he'd had enough of it. She hadn't spent the last three fucking weeks of her life in the Animus, had she? Then she had the nerve to snap at him for trying to have just a little bit of fun. He shrugs to himself and starts his jog into the Villa, eager to reach his favorite spot—the church. He scales a couple buildings and when he reaches the church, he sits down and dangles his legs over the edge. Once comfortable, he takes a deep breath and forces himself to relax.

"Nice night, huh?" A voice sounds behind him, causing him to nearly jump out of his pants. Desmond stands within seconds and takes a defensive stance.

"Who the hell are you?" He demands.

"Calm down." She smirks, throwing her hands up in mock surrender. Which causes her sleeves to fall towards her elbows, revealing her own set of hidden blades.

"How did you find me?"

"Not too hard really."

"Not too hard?"

"I know an Auditore descendent when I see one." She explains, still holding her hands up.

"Auditore? Wait, are you're an assassin too?"

"Ezio wasn't the only assassin." She drops her arms and sits on the edge of the church, "Although my name is Roxanne, but my friends call me Roxxy. Well they would if I had any."

"I'm Desmond." He responds and becomes slightly relaxed, "but how did you know I'm an Assassin?"

"You have his eyes and the scar." She explains, "It was a curious thing, seeing Ezio from Scarlett's eyes. She thought so highly of her lover, although he took to treating her as if she were some glass doll but he did love her. You can imagine how happy she was when Ezio realized she wasn't as helpless as she seemed." Roxanne stretches her arms and places them behind her head, leaning back against the roof of the church. "Plus," She adds, "you're building hopping gave it away."

"Oh, was I that loud?" He jokes, deciding to trust this mysterious girl.

"Painfully so." She responds sarcastically and laughs. "So, Desmond, how did you escape the Templars?"

"Lucy helped me escape from Abstergo." He responds and relays the last few years of his life.

"Although before all of that, I was a bartender." Desmond laughs as he finishes up his story.

"A bartender?"

"Believe it or not, I never wanted to be an Assassin. I was sort of born into it. How did you get pulled into this mess?"

"Abstergo took me from my family when I was 17." She begins, "I was leaving school when I got a call telling me that if I didn't arrive at a local club within 10 minutes they'd kill my friend Victor. I got there in 5, but they killed him anyways." Roxanne pulls her legs to her chest, the memories flashing before her eyes, "It was terrible and the last thing I remember before waking up was a sharp hit to the head. Then I was strapped in an Animus being told what to do."

"Sounds a bit like my experience." Desmond says softly, patting her on the back. Although her experience was nothing like his, he could at least try and empathize with her. Roxanne sighs, smiling slightly as she releases her knees and legs her legs dangle off the edge of the church. "I'm sorry. Life is hard, especially a life like ours."

"Thanks Desmond." She says and stands up, "I'd love to stay and chat, but the sun is rising. See you later Assassin."

"Wait, I—" but before he could say anything more she was disappeared as fast as she had appeared.
