That's it, He was gone. Spike. Was. Gone. With just a wink of an eye, he was dust.
Buffy was patrolling, as always, when Spike came out of nowhere trying to be the big brave vampire or something idiotic like that, as always. He charged the vampire she was fighting and began fighting with him. Yes, It was annoying but it also was amazingly helpful. She now had time to dust the other vampire without any interruptions. It was simple, a blow to the left, rounded kick to the jaw, a head to the gravestone, stake is ready, a punch, another one, two, three, He's out! She shook of the dust from her coat with a smile of victory, and turned her head just in time to see it - that split second - Spike was about to dust the vamp. She couldn't tell how, she couldn't tell when exactly, but the vampire managed to snatch the stake out of Spike's hands. Just like it happened to her just a few weeks before that, and just like in her case - the vampire attacked and staked Spike with his own stake. Only it wasn't like in her case, because she ended with a couple of bandages and one psychological problem. But Spike, He ended. dust.
She tried to save him, She really did. The moment she saw the stake in the other vampire's hand, She ran. She ran as fast as she could, but she wasn't fast enough. Spike was already gone. Of course, the other vampire was surprised as well, he didn't know he was fighting a fellow vamp. He even felt a little bad. Dusting an undead brother? A demonic friend? That wasn't a nice thing to do, he knew that. But what can you do? That rude little vampire charged on him, not the other way arou. His thoughts were interrupted by a very angry Buffy. Tears were streaming down her face, but she didn't notice, she was buisy turning him into a mush.
She didn't stop hitting the vampire for several minutes. He was begging her to stop, crying for a little understanding of some kind. But no matter how much he yelled, she couldn't hear him. It was almost like she wasn't there. In a way, she really wasn't. She wasn't conscious of what she was doing, her mind was in another place. All she could think about was Spike. She never thought it will hurt that much, losing Spike. He was just spike. "William the bloody" pain in the ass. But lately he was more than that, he helped her, a lot. He was her friend, someone she can trust. Even after all the tortures, He told Glory zip about what he knew. He was more important to her now than ever, she trusted him with the thing she cared about the most - with Dawn. No matter what she would ask, he was there, right by her side. She realized it now, she woke up too late. She finally knew that what he did for her, what he felt for her, it was real. But he was gone now. She could never tell him what she feels, she can't. He is gone, because of her.
That was it, she couldn't take it anymore. She left the battered vampire who was more of a bloody pulp by now and ran. She was hysterical. sobbing, warm tears flowing on her cheecks. She kept on running, not knowing where. She only knew one thing for sure: He was gone. Spike. Was. Gone. ************* That is it for the first part of Blurring The Line, Please R&R. TBC.
