Ahhhh another fanfic? Turns out, they're pretty fun to write! 3 So here's a short little Shintaro one.

A hunched figure sat in front of the computer, typing and clicking rapidly. He had dark circles beneath his eyes, and his black t-shirt smelled rather old and sweaty, but he didn't seem to care. He continued typing and clicking away, like nothing else in the world mattered. He was so immersed, he'd forgotten about her. A little blue figure popped up in the corner of the screen. A girl, to be exact. She gave a playful grin as a loud blast of music ripped through the air.

The man jumped in surprise and glared at the computer screen, where the little twintailed girl gave a little twirl.

"Good morning master! It seems you've been looking through some..." she gave a dramatic pause as she gestured toward his open browser, containing a various assortment of strange images "...rather interesting things this morning! Now, I'm happy to announce that I've finally gotten through all of Master's strange files and sorted them!"

The man rolled his eyes and sat back down, ignoring the little cyber girl. At this, she puffed out her cheeks and disappeared. Uh oh. This doesn't look good he thought, and awaited whatever consequences would befall him. But nothing happened. He sighed in relief and returned to his websurfing, when he realized...

"ENE!" he shouted, staring at the "You have failed to connect to the Internet" sign that had popped up onto his screen. He clicked through his controls frantically, hoping that there was somewhere he could connect to. Anything, anything at all! He sighed in defeat as the connections panel came up with nothing. He was doomed. Anything would be better than this. He'd been so caught up in his frantic search for internet connection that he hadn't noticed his younger sister Momo enter the room

"What's wrong, Shintaro onii-chan?" she asked, and stopped when she saw the situation. "Ah, brother has no internet connection?" she asked, as her older brother nodded sadly.

"Well, there's free wi-fi at the supermarket in front of our hou-" she was cut off by her brother standing up abruptly, a new spark in his eyes. Without a word, he grabbed his phone off the table and dashed out the door, Momo stared after him, half-amused, half-exaspareted, Onii-chan would always be onii-chan.

Shintaro was already turning on his phone, where of course, Ene was already waiting.

"Did Master like my little surprise?" she asked, sticking her tongue out.

"Yes, yes I did, very much so" Shintaro answered sarcastically, and headed out the front door, pulling on his red jersey.

Ahhh... He hadn't been outside except to visit the gang once in a while... Where was the supermarket...? His eyes brightened when he saw a sign, and was there immediately. Of course he wasn't going to buy anything, so he did what any desparate HikiNEET would do, and sat on the ground, his back leaning against the walls of the supermarket.

He tapped his foot as his phone searched for wi-fi, and he smiled when the wifi icon appeared on his screen. He paid no heed to the looks of passerby, who obviously thought he was crazy. Again, he was surfing the web happily!

He paused and lifted his head as he saw a shadow come near. He looked up to see the towering figure of Kido, staring at him with an odd look in her eyes.

"Good luck trying to explain yourself" Ene's voice whispered through his headphones.

"A-ah, Danchou...!" he stuttered.
