"I am not asking you to love me, I am asking you to trust me!" Rick thundered as he gazed at her. "Beth please, I can get us out of this. All you have to do is trust me."
"Don't you get it!" Beth roared back. "I do trust you! Hell, I even love you!"
"That's good to know." He lowered his head and averted his eyes from her.
"No Rick, you still don't get it." She moved to his side and took his face in her hands. "When I say I love you, I mean it … I LOVE YOU." Leaning forward, she placed her lips firmly to his then slid her hands to his. Gripping them, she laid his hands on her hips as she pressed into him. Her lips remained against his as she began to run her hands up and down his arms. As she kept rubbing his arms, she felt his hands grip her just so.
Slowly, he ran one hand up her back and threaded his fingers in her hair … and that's when things changed. His grip tightened on her hip as he pulled her in as close as he could. Running his tongue over her lips, she parted them for him as his tongue invaded her mouth. His tongue wrestled with hers as his hand went from her hip to her ass, gripping it gently as he rubbed up against her. Her arms wound around his neck as she began to grin. Lifting his face from hers, he looked down at her as she continued to smile with her eyes closed. "What are you smiling at?"
Opening her eyes, she stared at him. "I see you are getting the picture finally."
"And if there weren't walkers on the other side of that door, you would know how I really feel."
"I think I already do," she sighed and let one hand slide down to grip the front of his jeans. "Too bad we can't go hide somewhere till they leave."
"Yea well," he chuckled, "Daryl and Glenn are also out there too remember."
"Screw them, they're not part of this it's just you and me."
He pulled her head to his chest, holding her close. "Get behind me and watch out."
"Okay," she sighed then snagged her lips against his in a powerful life-affirming kiss before moving to stand behind him.
Reaching down, he laid his hand on the hilt of the Python as he lifted his foot. Using all the force he could, his foot impacted the door and sent shards of wood flying outwards. "Any particular reason you're trying to kill us with wood!" Glenn yelped from the other side.
"Sorry, we thought the walkers were still out here," Rick spoke as they stepped through the destroyed door.
"We just cleared them," Daryl spoke as he surveyed the door. "Damn, who pissed you off."
"I had to learn how to kick doors in while I was a deputy," Rick chuckled as they stepped out into the sun. "Come on, let's head back to the prison and regroup. The Governor and his people have already been through here."
Glenn gave Daryl a sideways glance as Beth walked past Rick, to which he reached out and smacked her on the ass. She turned and gave him a devious grin. "Promises promises."
"Just get in the car," he laughed as he followed her.
"And what was that about?" Glenn asked Daryl.
"Not sure, but something interesting must've happened before we got here," Daryl chuckled. "Yo Rick, you gonna teach me how to do that right!"
