Holly wiped a tear from her eye, unwilling to believe the truth. They had to do it, she knew they had to. It just wasn't fair. What had the boy ever done to them. Okay…that was a question that could spark quite a few answers.

She still wondered what would become of the boy when they had finally left him. Would he go back to his uncaring self, would he be the nicer, more compassionate him, or would he start this all over again. Holly looked up towards the stars, knowing which one she wished it would be.

"This is the right thing to do, this is the right thing to do." Holly whispered to herself as she watched everyone else shielding and leaving. She had to take one more look. She had to.

Holly shielded and sat on the window sill, glad that she could have the last look as her old friends woke up. Juliet and Butler were the first two awake, Artemis was still sleeping soundly in the back.

She sighed again. It just didn't seem right. True her commander had given the orders to leave them be, and true he would never miss her, but what about her feelings. Was she just supposed to turn her back on him forever!

Holly put a hand to the chilly window and smiled as the boy woke up. It was almost a relief to see him looking confused. It was a look rarely seen on the boys face. She took a deep breath and turned around to fly away.

She slowly flew from the window, careful not to look back.

She blinked back another tear as she began to disappear into the night.

She was so intent on forgetting the boy, she didn't even realize that he was staring right at her. She disappeared into the night and he ran back into the house. Unsure of what to believe.
