Introduction

The waters had drained and the gates opened to allow entrance to his prize, the ancient rivers of life were finally open to him, and Victorias revival was imminent. "PHIBES WAIT!" Biederbeck called after him as the raft of Dr. Anton Phibes crossed the threshold into the age old channels that led to the secret of prolonged life. "Phibes I beg you, let me come with you!" Biederbeck repeated as he jumped into the shallow pool of water as the flood gates closed behind Phibes. At this moment Inspectors Trout and Waverly along with Biederbecks fiance Diana entered the chambers just in time to watch Phibes escape and Biederbecks attempt to swim after him. "Please, Phibes for once have mercy, I beg you let me come with you!" he tried to call out again as Phibes continued rowing deeper and deeper into the dark chamber. "dont worry darling, its not the end of the world." Diana said to her husband-to-be as he held onto the locked gates knowing that his time had finally run out. She was soon to find out how very wrong she was as she watched in horror as her beloved began to age rapidly and grotesquely, his skin getting thinner and thinner and his hair longer and grayer, soon he was nothing but a floating pile of dust. Phibes was gone leaving behind him a two deeply confused inspectors and a horrified bride to be, However his work was far from done. "Soon my dearly beloved, life will come to your empty eyes and we will finally embrace above the long flowing waters of life.", Phibes voice said through the built in gramophone on the side of the raft as his eyes rested affectionately on the corpse of his wife.

Authors note: Well there you have it the beginning to what I hope will be a satisfying sequel to Dr. Phibes rises again! I would like to state that I own absolutely nothing except for the victims that are to die by the good doctors hands later on in the story and fret not! The lovely vulnavia and the ever talented clockwork Wizards will also return in later chapters.
