Brush, brush, brush.

Twenty-seven brushes on each side. Some people might call it unhealthy, Cho Chang thought to herself as she stood in front of her mirror and brushed her hair, but Cho preferred to think of herself as a perfectionist. And after the particularly energetic lovemaking session she had been involved with last night…she was sure she needed it.

Pausing for a moment, she gazed back at her girlfriend, who was still sleeping in the bed. She always looked beautiful and her hair never looked like it needed brushing or maintenance. If she wasn't so beautiful, Cho was sure she would actually be jealous.

She turned her face back to the mirror and began brushing again. Her girlfriend would tell her that she really shouldn't be up this early. They don't have work today and rain pounds against the window with a heavy patter-patter-patter. But Cho was ALWAYS up at this time of the morning. She never saw the point of laying in bed all hours of the day and it made her feel restless. And a part of her always felt uncomfortable with messy hair. It just screamed out to her to be brushed and straightened.

Brush, brush, brush.

It was amazing just how much time she had wasted at Hogwarts, dating boys she pretended to love in a desperate attempt to pretend she was 'normal.' Her friend Cedric, the boy she was meant to fall in love with, the one everyone expected her to fall in love with. He was handsome, charming and a good flyer. What witch wouldn't fall for such a charming boy? Cho had allowed herself to be swept up with his charm and the expectations of their families. If she was honest, it was the easy way out. An easy way out that kept everyone happy except her. She told herself she loved him, but at night her dreams were of the girl sleeping on the bed behind her.

Her girlfriend never seemed to have that problem. She was openly aware that she was into girls as well as boys. There was never any denial about that from her as far as she could tell, although perhaps Cho simply didn't know about any denial from her.

It had taken a full scale war for Cho to finally be honest with herself. Well that and almost losing said girl. Cho didn't think she could have forgiven herself if she had never had the opportunity to tell her girlfriend how she felt about her.

Dub, dub, dub.

Cho's girlfriend said she didn't need make-up, that Cho was beautiful enough on her own, but like her hair, Cho was obsessive about it. The day simply didn't feel right without it. Some of her friends laughed about these little rituals but Cho shrugged them off. Rituals were important, especially since the Battle of Hogwarts.

A groan from the bed behind her and Cho swiftly stepped over to sit on the bed to smile at the beautiful girl who was just waking up.

"Hello Angie," she said and the other witch smiled at her with sleepy eyes.

"It's too early Cho," she groaned and Cho chuckled.

"You know me. I can never sleep any later," she said with amusement and Angelina smiled and sat up.

"Well I can think of a few other things we can be doing," she said as she kissed her girlfriend while her hands began to slide under Cho's robes, igniting an excited feeling in Cho's stomach.

Yes, there are better things she can be doing, Cho thinks as her hands and Angelina's wander once more.
