Aaron could feel Emily slipping through his fingers. He couldn't let that happen so in order to assure that it didn't happen he was going to have to open up and tell her how he felt. He wasn't sure if he could do this but he didn't have a choice. He couldn't lose who to someone else. She belonged with him and nobody else. So that is why he was sitting outside her apartment building giving himself a pep talk at one in the morning. Yes, he knew it was late but he couldn't sleep so he called Jessica and after telling her what he needed to do she agreed with him and came straight over not caring that it was so late.

He got out of his SUV and finally made his way into her building. He knew that she was still up because her living room light was on. He decided to walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator so that he had a few extra minutes while he planned what he wanted to say. By the time he got to her apartment door he knew exactly what he was going to do and say.

He raised his hand and knocked firmly on her door. A few seconds later he heard her footsteps. He took in a deep breath when he heard her unlocking her door.

Emily checked her peep hole and was surprised to see Aaron standing on the other side. It wasn't an unusual occurrence him coming to her place he did often but never once has he came over this late. She automatically thought that something was wrong with Jack so she quickly unlocked her door and pulled it open.

Aaron waited impatiently for Emily to open her door and when she finally did even as she started to say "Aaron what's", Aaron swooped his head down and caught Emily's lips in a fierce kiss. As he felt her gasp he took the oprutunity to deepen the kiss and then he heard her moan. As he was kissing her he backed her into her apartment and once in he kicked the door shut and then back up to lean his back on it and pulled her into him with his legs on either side of hers. Finally he had to break the kiss to breath.

Emily panted as she tried to catch her breath. She couldn't believe that Aaron had just kissed her like he had. Not that she was going to complain because she wasn't. She wanted his lips on hers again and wanted him on top of her.

Once she got her breath back she said "Damn Aaron not that I'm complaining but where did that come from?"

Aaron smirked as he saw the desire in her eyes but he knew before he did anything else he had to be straight up honest with her. "Emily I realized something today and that was that you were slipping through my fingers. I have loved you for so long but I thought that it would never go anywhere and I was afraid I would end up hurting you like I did Hailey. I realized though that I love you more than I ever loved her. You belong with me Emily and I will do everything and anything that I have to do in order to prove that you belong with me."

Emily smiled and grazed her lips across Aaron's jaw. "Aaron I always have been and always will be your woman. I know that I belong with you. I was just waiting on you to figure it out. I love you so deeply Aaron that I know that it will never go away."

Aaron smiled in relief and said "I love you too Emily."

Then his mouth was back on hers and he was kissing her with years worth of love in that single hot kiss.
