AN: Apparently I lied when I said Last To Know would be my shortest. I managed to come up with something much shorter. But that's what happens when you decide to try and write a story based on a 54 second instrumental clip. It didn't feel right to try to expand this any more. Anyway, go look up A.06 by Linkin Park.

Disclaimer: Don't own Bleach or A.06. Is that not what the concept of fanfiction implies.

How to write a story based around a 54 second instrumental clip.

Uryu stood high in a tree. He was alone, deep in the forest. Waiting.

The night sky and the chill in the air told of the fight he knew was to come.

And there it was. He felt it before he saw it. That energy that buzzed through the air and all around him, just before that flash of familiar orange appeared below him.

He smirked, raised his bow, took aim, and fired once. The orange disappeared.

Just as quickly, it reappeared on the branch directly behind the Quincy. He wouldn't have been able to tell when it had been drawn, but in the fraction of a moment he had, he managed to react to the overly large sword slashing broadly at his torso. Uryu spun to face his visitor as he leapt back a safe distance onto another tree.

Ichigo stood level with his opponent of the moment, grinning slightly with a devious glint in his eye. Uryu returned the look easily.

This was what he was waiting for.

This tradition he hoped was never broken.

He fired once more as his friend became a blur yet again.
