This is post Season 3 summer finale, after Jane finds Lydia's baby. Eventual Rizzles.

Disclaimer: These wonderful characters are not mine, they are Tess Gerritson's/Janet Tamaro's/TNT's. I make no profit of them. Yadda yadda yadda.

Jane walked back into Maura's living room with the very new baby that was left on the doorstep. (The baby that was either her new little brother, or her nephew. That had yet to be discovered..) Maura sat up on the couch to see what it was Jane was holding, and gasped when she saw it was an infant.
"Jane! Is that Lydia's baby?!" Angela asked as she threw her knitting needles to the floor to get up and investigate.
"No ma. The stork decided to give us a baby to raise alongside Lydia's! Yes this is her baby. Who else would it belong to?" Jane retorted.
"Now Jane, I'm sure she just asked because she's in shock. Frankly, I think we're all a little out of sorts at the moment, and we need to calm down and figure out what to do next." Maura butted in. "Did she leave a note or anything wrapped up with him? A diaper bag with supplies in it? Anything at all?"
"Now that you mention it, I think I did see a plastic bag on the porch too. But I was a little preoccupied with the fact that a newborn was also on the porch, and decided it'd be best to make him a priority."
Maura went to fetch the bag as Jane handed off the baby to a swooning Angela.
The blonde came back with the bag containing his birth certificate, an envelope, some formula, a handful of binkies, and a rattle.
Angela cooed at the infant while Jane and Maura opened the envelope.

Jane and Maura,
I'm leaving you my son, because I couldn't have picked two better people to raise him. Make sure Angela helps, she was a great mother to you Jane, and will hopefully be an awesome grandmother to this little guy. This is not Tommy's baby, and this is not Frank's baby. The father is out of the picture for good. I had already met Tommy, and he told me about his family and I knew it was how I wanted my baby to be raised. So with this letter I've enclosed the papers signing him over to you guys for legal guardianship. By the time you read this I will probably be somewhere in the Boston Harbor. You guys are his real family. I'm so sorry for dropping all of this on you, but it had to be done. I'm not fit to be a mother. We all know that. Good luck with him. He still doesn't have a name yet, and I hope you can find a suiting one better than I could.
Love,
Lydia

"Oh my god!" Jane and Maura exclaimed simultaneously.

And that's all for now! Short so far, I know, but I hope to change that. Just wanted to kind of test the waters before I jumped in. What do you guys think? Reviews would be appreciated, and I hope to update regularly.
