Like silk the soft breezes of his hair slipped through my hands,
The tempting touch it was so smooth and soft,
Not like the rough and sharp gusts I was used to,
That bright smile, resplendent like gleaming shards of broken glass,
The appearance of a wild child,
But in those eyes was the liquid innocence of a newborn pup,
In that smile gleamed the joy of a pirate finding a long lost treasure,
They begged me mercilessly,
Stay! Play with me!
Just a pup in both body and soul was this child,
Seemingly too childish for one like me,
Yet in so many ways we are the same
Both lost
Both young
Both looking for a companion under the guise of vengeance,
How can I resist one like he?
