Sparkling angel I believed
Her eyes were wide with pain, tears leaking, streaking acorss her normally beautiful face. She felt nothing but betrayal and she wished so desperately that she could change fate. She had to wonder why Starclan had let this happen, why after everything she had done for her clan, after everything Tigerclaw had done for them, he had to go and turn on his leader, their leader, for power that meant nothing. Tigerclaw had been such a great warrior! He could have saved them all if not fo his own darkness. He'd thrown everything away so willingly.....Goldenflower shook her head ear drooping as she stared at her tiny, helpless kits. Bramblekit looked just like his father and she knew he would be judged because of it. She had loved Tigerclaw, but had he ever really loved her?
You were my savior in my time of need.
She sighed, hanging her head with sorrow vibrating through her. She knew that it was sick, wrong to miss the tom-cat but part of her still loved him. He could have been so wonderful...such a great leader if he just would have waited, he if just would have let go of his power-hungry ways. She remembered when he'd first told her he loved her. Her eyes had shone with such wonder. She couldn't believe that one of the best warriors in the clan could feel that way about her. And than, well it had all happened so quickly. He had said something about wanting kits and she was quick to give him anything...At first she had ben so proud to carry his kits. Her pelt had seemed to shine as bright as the sun it self.
Blinded by faith I couldn't hear
Goldenflower closed her eyes, wishing the memory could still be as pure as before. But it was impossible. Her memory was now tainted by the murderer her mate had become. Her clan mates said they didn't judge her, that all of them had been clueless, but she knew the truth. Some of the others gave her dirty looks whenever she passed by, as though she'd known all along. She knew, that if it was this hard for her, it would be ten times worse for her kits. They were Tigerclaw's kin. They had his blood. Goldenflower didn't care though. They were her babies, they also had her blood. They would be loyal, strong warriors. They would make her proud.
All the whispers, the warnings so clear.
She surpressed another on-slaughter of tears when she heard her son's tiny mew. A soft smile was forced upon her mouth and she bent her head to lick the young tom's ear. His amber eyes opened slowly, blinking up a his mother in confusion. "What's wrong mother?" he asked quietly, surling closer to her side for the warmth that emitted from her soft pelt. Goldenflower just smiled, shaking youer head. "Nothing you need to worry aout young one. You just concentrate on staying strong ok?" Little Bramblekit nodded his head, a yawn stretching his jaws as his eyes fluttered closed again.
