It was a good life for Pat. Living in the Great Valley afforded him protection from Sharpteeth. He was about to get the biggest shock of his life, however. It wouldn't be long before he found love, along with a certain pink baby Threehorn.
The day started like any other. As the Bright Circle rose into the sky, the dinosaurs of the Great Valley awoke and began shaking off their sleepiness. The peace was soon broken by the arrival of a herd of Spiketail Farwalkers. Spike, the only young Spiketail in the Great Valley, spotted another young Spiketail within the herd. He knew this Spiketail well. The Spiketail's name was Tippy, and he had just returned to the Great Valley with his herd.
At the same time as Tippy and his herd, a lone female Longneck entered the Great Valley from the east. Her name was Sue, and she was also looking for food. Meanwhile, Spike was delighted when the Spiketail leader announced the herd would be permanently settling in the Great Valley. Sue also heard this, and was just as delighted, since she was also permanently settling in the Valley.
