Minerva kicked her again and again. Lucy was battered and bruised, she could hardly see anything, it was so dark. The only thing she could hear was Minerva's cackling. She could not find her keys, she wasn't even sure she had them with her. She tried calling out for Loke and even Virgo, as they could come out on their own power. Obviously they couldn't hear her or couldn't get to her.

Lucy didn't know where she was or how long she had been there. She had tried to fight back, but her limbs would not obey her. She didn't think she was chained down, but it was hard to think with Minerva's laughter and her attacking Lucy.

Lucy felt as if she should have passed out by now, but couldn't figure out why she hadn't. She called out for the only person who she knew would find her no matter what.

"NATSU." She screamed.

Minerva came and grabbed her by the hair, yanking Lucy's head back she said, "No ones going to hear you scream. You will die alone," she cackled loudly, "once I have finished toying with you first."

She hit Lucy again in the stomach and then disappeared from Lucy's view. Lucy screamed, but could not hear herself over Minerva's laughter.

Happy was with Wendy and Carla on a mission and Natsu didn't want to go home to an empty house. He was almost to Lucy's apartment, when he heard Lucy call his name. He ran the rest of the way, jumped up onto her window sill and climbed into her room, just as she screamed.

Natsu lit his fist on fire and looked around for the enemy and found none. What he did find was Lucy in bed whimpering with her eyes closed and tears running down her cheeks. Natsu put out his flames and was at Lucy's side in an instant. He picked her up, sat her in his lap and rocked backwards and forwards.

"Shhhh... Wake up Lucy, it's only a nightmare. I'm here for you." Natsu spoke as he kept rocking.

Lucy's eyes cracked open, "Natsu."

"I'm here. I'll chase the nightmares away." Natsu spoke softly.

"I knew you would come for me." Lucy sighed and curled in closer to Natsu.

"Of course, I'll always come for you." Natsu reassured her, as he lay down on her bed, not letting her go.

And that's how Happy found them the next morning, after coming home from the mission.
