Chapter 1 - The Meeting

"A loving heart is the beginning of all knowledge." - Thomas Carlyle

I watched her with cold eyes. She was a coordinator, not my usual type. I had dated a coordinator once before, her name was Dawn. But she had only wanted to 'soften my heart'.

Heh.

Like that'd ever happen.

I smirked at the thought... Me? Soften up? Ha! I had to prevent myself from laughing.

Suddenly, the people around me stood up.

Ah, the contest is over. Now's my chance.

I got up, walking past the people, and going to the girl's room. Her name was on the door, it said May. I smiled to myself.

Then, I opened the door. There she was, her medium-length brown hair, her blue eyes... And she shaking like a mouse who had just saw a cat.

"Hey."

She looked up, shocked at the sight of me.

"Where did you-"

"Nice job out there." I cut her off.

"...Thanks." She smiled at me.

"No problem." I then walked away.

I could tell she was weary of me, the way she was eyeing me when I had complimented her. She could probably sense the dark side to me. Not that I cared...

I was intrigued by her, much like I was at first when Dawn was always yelling at me, telling me just what to do. But this time would be different... This time I'd get what I want.
