Author's Note: I saw the midnight showing, and this little plot just popped into my head. I'd also like to make a note about the Colorado shooting. I can only hope that the victims' families will have the strength. When I came home from the midnight showing around my 4am, this was all over TDKR forum. It broke my heart that this happened. I give my condolences to all effected. Please, stay strong.

City Hall was freezing as the broken windows allowed the December air to enter the room. Gotham's wealthiest citizens stood huddled together as they awaited their 'trial' as two familiar villains stood in front of the golden chair in the center of the room. It frightened the once powerful people more to see the Joker back in his prime with the towering Scarecrow glaring at him.
"I would like to be the judge today, Joker."
The Joker sneered before pulling out Harvey Dent's old coin. "Why don't we flip it, Jonathan?"
"Must you always play such childish games?" Scarecrow snapped, snatching the coin out from the Joker's palm. The clown grinned, showing his yellow teeth, before pulling out a quarter from his pocket. "Damn it! Must you be so insufferable?"
"Didn't Dr. Quinn explain to you that I purposely enjoy causing problems? Just because you were my roommate at Arkham doesn't mean that I'll go easy on you outside of the joint."
"Oh you little..."
The innocent citizens watched as the crazed Joker bantered with the well-to-do looking ex-psychologist. The Joker wanted to do a simple coin flip to choose the position for the day, while Jonathan wanted rationalization for his position. It was a mess, Gotham's wealthiest noted, and both men needed to be thrown back into Arkham as soon as possible.
"Jonathan, Jonathan, Jonathan! Why don't we just ease our suffering by doing this little coin flip? If it lands on heads, you get the position. If it lands on tails, I'll get the position," the Joker explained, licking his lips nervously. Bane's mercenaries began to advance on the two, guns drawn. "I don't think Bane would appreciate us just standing here arguing. You out of all people should understand that. Not with the power he has."
The Joker flipped the coin, and the two villains waited as the quarter slowly fell back into the Joker's hand. Playing his part, the Joker cupped his hands together to shake the coin.
"Let's see who won!" Jonathan barked. "Bane should have kept you locked up. No one can handle you."
The Joker pulled back his hand to reveal George Washington's face, and he was going to reply before the door crashed open. Bane's number one mercenary came through the door with a triumphant smirk on his face.
"We got Gordon!"
"Oh balls," the Joker hissed in disappointment.
