(Hey guys! As well as this being my first Hunger Games fic, it's also my first poem! Chocolate Eyes will be updated tomorrow!)
R&R- Should I stick to stories?
CAPITOL CHILD.
I live in the land of the wealthy,
Where we spend money at our leisure,
I am strong and healthy,
I watch the Hunger Games for pleasure.
I sit in my warm home in new things,
Watching twenty-four teens fight to the death,
Wondering what this game brings,
Seeing the Tribute's last breath.
I know I shall never go hungry,
Food and water shall always be there,
I live in the best place in the Country,
I only have to worry about my hair.
I have a servant, who's an avox,
She is muted for life,
She's had her tongue cut off so she can't talk,
She'll never be a mother or wife.
I am a Capitol Child,
Well, up until today,
I head off with my boyfriend into the wild,
I am running away.
I am fed up with the unfairness,
Towards the districts of Panem,
We are all the same, more or less,
Although we are far richer than them.
We reach the woods of the last district,
We know we've come to an end,
I know the Capitol is very strict,
They won't let this one bend.
I will end up mutilated,
Like the girl who used to serve me,
Spending my life unwanted and hated,
I only hope that He can flee.
No such luck, He is speared,
I scream and yell His name,
I look around, feared,
I'm tired of playing their games.
I see a girl in the grasses,
She meets eyes with me,
She looks down as the helicopter passes,
I will never be free.
My last hope looked the other way,
My boyfriend is barely alive,
I will not speak after this day,
The helicopter arrives.
"PLEASE! KRISTIN!"
My last scream...
(AN- Sooo, what do you think?)
