Summery; Estel is playing hide and go seek with the twins and Elrond.
It was a lovely sunny day in Rivendell and three year old Estel was playing in the garden with the twins Elladan and Elrohir and his ada Lord Elrond.
"What do you want to play my son?" Elrond asked Estel who was sitting on the grass next to him. Playing with a soft furry red ball.
"Hiding" Estel said.
He stopped playing with the ball and climbed on to Elrond lap. Then he put his hand over Elrond's eyes.
"Oh, you want to play hide and seek Estel." Elladan said. Answering Elrond confusion, when Estel had put his small hands over his eyes.
Estel nodded and slid on Elrond's lap and walked over to the twins. Then grabbed a handful of their identical tunics and tried to pull them.
"Looks like you have to count Ada." Elrohir said. Standing up with his twin, who was holding Estel's hand. Elrohir grabbed the other and together they walked to find a hiding place.
Elladan hid up a tree. But Elrohir and Estel hid behind a large clump of Sunflowers.
Elrond finished counting to ten and stood up. He spotted Estel and Elrohir immediately but didn't go over to them. He wanted to make it fun for Estel so he decided to find Elladan first.
It took Elrond ten minutes to find Elladan who was hiding very well in a tall tree.
Elladan climbed down and helped his ada find Estel and his twin.
They made a lot of noise while they were looking for Estel and Elrohir.
Then Estel had an idea.
"Jump and scare them." He whispered to Elrohir.
Elrohir knew that his ada and twin had heard them and knew where they were.
When they jumped out Elrond and Elladan pretended to look surprised.
Elrond pick up his foster son and said "Come Estel lets get you fed and put you to bed shall we."
Estel nodded and allowed Elrond to carry him back into the house with the twins following.
After Estel had been fed and gone to bed. Elladan and Elrohir went back out side for a bit of archery.
Elrond went to his study and sat behind his desk. He closed his eyes and thought about the day he and his sons had just shared together. And he knew it was one of them rare moment that he would cherish for ever.
