CRASH. SMASH.

Hinamori froze outside the door of the 10th division's captain's office. Slowly, she put down the pile of papers she was carrying and glanced in the keyhole. Her mouth dropped, and her eyes widened. There stood Hitsugaya in a heated argument with Matsumoto. Matsumoto was holding an ornate vase and looked ready to hurl it onto the ground.

Stifling a gasp (not too well), Hinamori picked up her stack of papers and gulped as the door swung open and a very annoyed Hitsugaya peeked out "Uh….mycaptainwantedmetodeliveryouthesepapers. Thanks, bye!" Hinamori said in a rush, handing the papers to Hitsugaya and fleeing.

Terrified of what Hitsugaya would do to her if he knew she'd seen, Hinamori ran on and out into the Shinigami Garden where she sat down on a bench and caught her breath. Then she realized that her ribbon had caught on something. Jerking her head, she felt a heavy weight settle on her shoulders and saw her ribbon in a rose bush behind her.

"------------!" (That's cursing.) Hinamori swore, pricking her finger sharply while trying to retrieve her ribbon. I will not cry, Hinamori thought fiercely sucking on her finger. The roses in the Shinigami Garden were different from normal roses. Each thorn was a sharp as a knife, which is why faithful lovers got themselves cut up to bring one to their beloved.

How sweet, Hinamori thought sarcastically wincing at the pain that was coming from her finger.

"You look good with your hair down," a low voice said.

Hinamori felt a hand burying deep inside of her hair and squeaked in surprise.

"Did you think I would be angry at you?" the voice asked.

"Hitsugaya…."

"I said it's Hitsugaya-taicho," Hitsugaya said before leaning in and pressing his lips onto Hinamori's.

Hinamori jerked away, gasping before moving back in, and the roses witnessed the blooming love of the two Shinigami.
