This is a one shot but if you all want, I can write a epilogue.

~Emmy

Shiro was done with running. He was going to stand and fight. They couldn't hurt him anymore. So he stood his ground as the adversary advanced, unsure of his survival but certain about his decision. He could still hear the screams. The screams that had haunted him for most of his life. The screams of his crew members, gone. But now he was done with hiding, done with running, now he was going to stand his ground.

The adversaries advanced, destroying everything in their path. Still he was determined to protect his new crew, his family. He didn't want them to go through what he did. For a year, he had struggled to survive. He had been forced to fight in an arena, tortured, and experimented on. He had lost an arm to these monsters, he wasn't going to let them do that to his family.

The adversaries drew closer. Shiro's alien engineered robotic arm started glowing purple. He charged, cutting down those who stood in his way. He heard the frightened screams of his crew, telling him to come back. He ignored them, still running forward, toward the adversaries leader. Enemies fall, their robotic parts littering the planet's surface. The terrain was rocky, giving Shiro excellent cover. He dodged blaster fire and ducked behind a rock. Then he saw a red blur in the corner of his eye.

It was Keith, dodging enemy fire and cutting down robots with his sword. Behind him was Lance, firing his blaster at the adversary. Hunk was with him, firing multiple shots at once, causing mass destruction. Pudge was in their ship, manning the defenses, while Allura and Coran attacked. Blue laser beams flashed over his head, cutting down enemies, drones, and battleships. Shiro smiled, he could always count on his crew. They were a team, a unit, a family.

Shiro turned toward the battle, and alongside his friends, started to fight once again. He was called the Champion in the gladiator arena that he was forced to fight in and now everyone could see why. His strikes disabled at least five robots each and his strategies were impeccable. Totally focused on the battle ahead of him, Shiro didn't see a robot sneak up behind him until it was too late. The blast hit him in the back and he was rocketed 10 feet from his original position. He heard his teammates scream as his eyes closed, maybe for the last time. Then everything was black.

I got so sad while writing this. I hope you all liked it! Please comment and tell me how I did! Constructive criticism is welcome!
