"Stop trying to fight, will you?"
Richter growled at the spirit again. Sure, the fact that it was a spirit plus a phantom didn't help. After the Galeem attack, sure, copies of their bodies had been made, but that didn't stop this spirit from taunting him within a copy of himself.
"This is getting you nowhere, you know."
"Be quiet! My friends will find me!"
"Haha. 'Friends'. Yea, last time I checked, Galeem captured everyone but that weird pink blob thing."
"What would you know about having friends, fiend?!"
"Oh I don't know, why you or them would betray them or you."
That made Richter stop for a moment.
"You know, everyone has a time, as we saw with your lovely little friends."
"They will find me, you monster!"
"Well, I glad that go the way of my boss fight, but really, no one will come for you."
"How would you know?! You're nothing but a ghost!"
"Says the guy who got controlled by a dark but magical priest."
Richter blinked in confusion. "How do you...?"
"Thank that Palutena character. Seriously though, chances are slim anyone's gonna come for you. Any of your friends, real."
"They'll come! Just wait and see!"
"You're cute, still trying to believe in hope."
"Specter Knight... please don't bother him."
"Then make me, Charlotte who-cares!"
Richter sighed. It was always those two spirits.
"It's Charlotte Aulin, phantom."
"Says the witch. Ha! Nothing new, honestly. Forced to work for one plus that idiot known Bayo-something is a thing."
"Do you know how annoying you are?"
"Well, I honestly don't care, so I don't see the point."
"Can you two please stop arguing?"
"Try to make Fate stop us."
That was always the phantom's reply whenever he asked that.
"Last time I checked, it was an en-"
"Enchantress, logic, blah blah blah, yea, no one cares anymore."
"You're an absolute idiot."
"I can say the same thing about you trying to stop vampires from destroying humans."
"You disgr-"
"Actually, I used to be human, so I don't get what you're biting at."
Richter growled, annoyed. Sure, the witch didn't directly possess him, but neither spirit seemed to care.
"Oh look who the cat dragged in. An idiot. Ugh. Third time, random character."
Richter flinched. He knew what was happening.
